If you awaken during the night and are unable to go back to sleep, watching TV may be an acceptable activity for some. However, be sure that the TV is not in your bedroom. You should also be some distance from the TV (it should not be close to your face). Watching shows on a mobile/personal device or laptop close to your face, rather than a traditional TV, is not recommended. Also, if you decide to watch TV remember to choose a program that isn’t overly stimulating. You do not want the TV program to be so interesting or exciting that it keeps you awake. Keep in mind that everyone is different and you may find that TV keeps you awake or even wakens you further. If that is the case, then it is recommended that you find another more suitable activity.
